WHO ARE WE?

Talking Earth uses data to mobilize communities to take control of their ecosystems. The data helps us monitor climate change at a micro and macro level. We do this through a simple four step process.

Gather

Visualize

Insights

Storytelling

Gather

We mobilize, train and manage communities mapping various datasets in their own localities

Visualize

We take the raw data and turn it into compelling visualizations that help tell a story

Insights

Experts in Data Science analyze the data for insights and patterns

Storytelling

We build a narrative and share it with communities, governments, and NGOs working in the field to help them better plan their social impact

OUR VISION

We believe data has the power to transform communities if used for social impact. That’s why we’re committed to launching primeSAT, our own remote sensing satellite, capable of collecting temporal and spatial data, for real-time earth observation. We’ve committed to a 6-year timeline to roll out the program. Data will be made available to NGOs and socially-aware individuals for free, or as close to free as possible.

Our global data program, arkDATA will also be made available for free or as close to free as possible, so that other organizations can run predictive or statistical models based on our data. The platform will also be commercially available to organizations that wish to use it for commercial purposes through a metered API.
